My grandmother was a Black Rosie the Riverter!! I came in search of a podcast that might lead me other black Rosie descendants and inform my knowledge further of the total story! Thank you for this!

My grandmother, Bennie Ruth Lynn-Jay from Fort Worth, Texas was a journeyman welder!

She worked at the ship yard in San Francisco.
She moved her two daughters from Texas to New Mexico and eventually to Arizona, with a relative, so they would be nearer to her on the west coast.

She had an awful accident where she fell from the top decks of the ship to a lower deck metal pile. She broke her leg in a couple of places and sustain other more minor injuries.

It was with the money payout that she received from that injury that she purchased to two lot land that she will build her home, at 1712 Lloyd Ave. Fort Worth, Texas! A proud accomplishment!

My grandmother was 4 foot 11 of pure strength and power! My family is very proud of the little woman that we all descend from!
